Amadalia Liberté is a queer multidisciplinary artist from the Global South (Chile), whose practice explores audiovisual art, performance, photography, and political activism. Her work investigates the boundaries of the body, identity, and dissent, with a particular focus on the representation of queer and sex-dissident communities. Throughout her career, she has been part of various collectives and projects that seek to highlight, question, and reflect on the impositions of heteronormativity and the prevailing capitalist system.
Self-taught, her focus on audiovisual documentation and performing arts has allowed her to develop a deep, situated understanding of political performance and dissident expressions in the Latin American context. Their work has been showcased at festivals and cultural spaces in Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
