BRIEFS 2017 is the East Bay Express’ 6th annual Erotic Short Film Competition, showcasing works by amateur and professional filmmakers from around the world. The one night screening will explore the limits of erotic filmmaking in a liberating and entertaining format ideal for sex-positive film lovers of every gender and orientation. Past films have included films such as Bed Party, Taken, Hella Brown, Redemption, and works by Four Chambered Heart.

SUBMIT TO THE BRIEFS 2017

Submission deadline is Friday, January 20, 2017.

Entries must be a maximum of 6 minutes long. Thursday, Feb 9th at Grand Lake Theater. A cash prize of $500 is awarded for the Judges Choice and $1000 for the Audience Favorite. Winning film teams will also walk away with bundles of sizzling goodies from local retailers.

Necessary forms can also be downloaded using the following links: Film Eligibility & Release and Model/Performer – NOTE: All forms must be completed and returned along with a photocopy of each model/performer’s ID to be considered. If for any reason you will have issues providing these items, get in touch with them, and you can discuss it further. 

Films can either be submitted through a download link or by mail. If you wish to send a link, please email them with “BRIEFS2017” in the subject line. If you prefer to mail a disc or thumb drive, please send to the address below. They are happy to return your disc or thumb drive to you once they have processed the film, so please let them know if that is your preference.

Accepted films will require the following technical requirements for screening copies:

Entries must be a maximum of 6 minutes long. Quick Time H264. File size 1280 x 720 or smaller. 29.97 frames per second are preferred. Audio: 48k, 16 bit, Stereo. Codec H264. HD Note: All HD films will be letterboxed in the final mix. Requirements for SD (4:3): A QuickTime File 720 x 486 Audio: 48k, 16 bit, Stereo Codec H264.
