Crash Course 2017 adult film classes: Your Big Idea and Camera Work
If you’re inspired to create adult films like the kind you’ve seen here on PinkLabel.tv, you’re in luck!
PinkLabel.tv aims to provide a space for a diverse array of independent adult films — and to encourage more great works. Part of this mission manifests as CRASH COURSE, an educational program and resource network designed to inspire and empower new erotic films from emerging and indie adult producers. In addition to free resources such as how to videos, articles, newsletters (with casting calls and festival submissions), and an international adult film calendar, we also offer workshops covering everything from affiliate marketing to directing.

Your Big Idea: Intro to Adult Filmmaking

The adult film industry has its own business in’s and out’s. Whether you’re a curious first-timer or a pro looking to pick up some tips, this class will get you set! Award-winning filmmaker Shine Louise Houston (The Crash Pad, SNAPSHOT) presents the tools to put your best foot forward, from setting up your business to editing your shot. A filmmaker who considers sex part of the narrative story, Houston’s cinematic style and decade of experience writing, producing, and distributing explicit films are all made available. Come for the porn, stay for the film geekery!
Camera Work: How to Direct an Adult Film

Learn the tried and true techniques for shooting and directing a sex scene that Shine Louise Houston has developed over her career. The course will delve into camera selection and best practices for working with talent. Attendees will get intensive instruction in the 2-camera technique which gives Shine’s work its intimate quality and there will also be critique of the footage shot during the course. Covered topics include: camera selection, best practices for working with talent, how to create a safe and ethical set environment and instruction on Shine’s 2-camera shooting technique.
