The starting point for the creation of the film was the recording of movement interactions between two people. The tools of narration are human bodies. Each movement provokes a response from the other party. In this way I spin a tale of attraction and repulsion and changing dynamics. It’s a record of authentic gestures, which makes the performance spontaneous and reactive.
The piece was originally intended to be about mourning and loss, but has evolved into a celebration of intimacy. It's a moving self-portrait that evolved as various variables emerged during the creative process. The cocoon in which the performers find themselves is a visual metaphor for sticking together and stopping in multi-level closeness.
