Portraits collects two films from award-winning photographer and filmmaker N Max Lander. In the first portrait, Emile, the mundane and erotic transubstantiate into a powerful trance-like solo performance by Geena Rose, a vision in sepia and cigarette smoke. In contrast, 98bit (art-directed by Rose) is an ultraviolet video game glitch in ecstatic neon, loading up Jinxy Laroue as a strap-on wielding raver fantasy and ending with a dayglow cumshot. Lander is a master of pairing vision with sound, and Portraits features a superb soundtrack with "the Right Voice" by Morgant J, "George's House" by Vidian, and "Bend" by BinarPilot.
