Help a team of pornographers come together and bring sex positive tarot film ONYX & ROSA to life

Buckle up for a radical new adult film ride! The creators of the Sex Positive Tarot Deck have devised a creative new expression for the cards journey through a film that animates each card’s meaning into real life.

The film begins with Onyx receiving aftercare after a BDSM session with Rosa, who offers him a Tarot reading. Rosa tells him that rare moments are more opportune for an encounter with the ARCANA than after having a good orgasm — intimacy, nudity and the right company tend to arouse honesty, mutual trust and deeper connections. With playful hesitation he agrees to the Tarot session, proceeding to then draw 3 Cards.
One by one, ONYX turns the cards over, getting immersed with each Arcanum in some dreamy state of trance where he encounters the Tarot characters represented in the pictures. Perhaps there is something he can learn from each of them; possibly, the time has came to face deep-rooted fears which have long-been avoided; or maybe he just needs to lose his taboos in order to fully enjoy himself, finding the courage for making the choices and changes he wants in his life—and furthermore, becoming the Arcana.

If you’re new to the concept of Sex Positive, the quick definition is that it’s a movement lead by sex education and self expression that aims to show sexuality as a healthy and fundamental aspect of life that should not be shrouded in shame or ignorance. And if you’re new to tarot, many practitioners use these symbolic, illustrated cards as a tool for reflection and self-knowledge. Through the use of a tarot reading, cards and their metaphors can be interpreted and analyzed to learn new perspectives.

ONYX & ROSA is an Italian-German co-production, born out of the partnership between Diego Tigrotto and JorgeTheObscene, and will be shot in Berlin next spring. Let’s get to know the artists behind the film:

The film revolves around a tarot reading, as the protagonist chooses three cards. One by one, each card becomes an animation that leads to a new vignette of the film and a new journey of self-discovery to explore.

The main producers of the film are Diego Tigrotto (author of sex positive tarot) and JorgeTheObscene, whose award-winning films have been screened in many international Porn Film Festivals. The production team also includes Roxy Nova and Silvia Procopio (Prox). The directors of each vignette are Ben Berlin, Pina Brutal and Puck Ellington, major players in the Post-Porn scene, who you might recognize here on PinkLabel.TV or from the San Francisco PornFilmFestival.

The directors have already chosen what card they will represent. They will also decide their cast and crew, and have written a draft of their scripts. Their segments will be 5-15 minutes long. The connecting thread of the film will be the Tarologist Bishop Black and the consultant Jamal Phoenix. This is based on a script proposed by director JorgeTheObscene.
