The Satyrs and Maenads: The Athens Porn Film Festival was set to debut in 2020 with over 85 international films, however due to COVID-19 the festival’s theatrical plans have been postponed. Not wanting to leave its audiences empty-handed, festival Director Menelas has teamed up with PinkLabel.TV to present a special Greek Porn Shorts screening on the video-on-demand platform for 48 hours only, May 22nd – May 24th.

The festival aims to bring the world of artistic porn to Athens, where its main goal is not only sexual arousal. Porn can inform, entertain, and educate. It can expand issues such as gender, sexuality, and our personal identity. It can raise awareness, and be political, and of course fun! Viewers from all over the world are invited to join the screening of an emerging Greek independent porn community with five films from Greece and Cyprus, including two world premieres and the first BDSM film from Cyprus. The program will be available with Greek and English Subtitles.

Since the Greek government does NOT subsidize artists and processors in these difficult times, we decided to give 10% of the profits to each film and the remaining 50% to Red Umbrella Athens.

Greek Short Program 2020 (May 22-24)

A special program with Greek participations of the 2020 program will be available for streaming for 48 hours from PinkLabelTV with presenter Melita Skambo. With five short films from Greece and Cyprus, which will NOT be screened together at the festival, you will see: a very useful online tutorial, sunsets full of BDSM, a soap opera trip to the world of clitoris, magic orgies in caves, and a comedy porn parody. In short, all the flavors of Greek art-porn!
