SECS Fest is coming world-wide!

The Seattle Erotic Cinema Society Festival (aptly nicknamed “SECS Fest”) will go ONLINE for the first time, screening September 11-13th, 2020 on a new adult film festival platform powered by PinkLabel.TV.

The member-supported Seattle Erotica Cinema Society strives to bring world-class erotic cinema to Seattle audiences through year-round presentations and an annual festival of short films, features, documentary, and archival films. With post-screening Q&A sessions, the festival hopes to act as a catalyst for honest, non-judgmental conversations and the spreading of sex-positive values. Past festival offerings have ranged from X-rated films from the Golden Age of adult movies, soft-core sexploitation films, European art-films, experimental works, and even less explicit films on relationships or erotic subjects.

Due to COVID-19, in-person festival events have been cancelled. Fortunately, the festival will go online thanks to the new adult film festival platform powered by PinkLabel.TV, which was built to serve as an online home for adult screenings. While nothing can replace the theatrical experience, the platform’s audience chat and live broadcasted filmmaker talks create an engaging environment, and a more accessible event for world-wide audiences.

The 2020 SECS Fest welcomes ticket holders with a pre-show selection from the best of previous years on September 10th, and then kicks off a 3-day event with seven live-streamed shorts and full-length feature programs and filmmaker talks.

Highlights include Julia Ostertag’s documentary Female Ejaculation & Other Mysteries of the Universe featuring notable figures like Annie Sprinkle and Laura Merritt of the PorYes Awards, Transcendent Bodies, an educational depiction exploring Erotic Awakening massage by Barbara Carrellas, and Eduardo Cemano’s 1972 archival feature film Fongaluli introduced by film scholar David Church, Ph.D. Over 30 films round out the shorts programs, including Camera and I by Shine Louise Houston and Mes Cherís by Buttermilk Films and star Jamal Phoenix.

If you miss a program, or just want to watch again, a festival recap offers all the films available for unlimited viewing for 24 hours all day Monday, September 14th.
