December New Releases

Stoya Inc and ZeroSpaces

The video library of Stoya Inc is an archive of films that examine authenticity in sex. The explicit travelog series Around the World in 80 Ways uses the medium of amateur pornography by high-chemistry co-stars to capture the ways in which global politics — interpersonal and structural — affect sexuality. Also included in the collection is an internationally screened short film Graphic Depictions, which employs the aesthetic of fashion and art film within queer desire.

ZeroSpaces was a sexually explicit media project, carefully handcrafting videos and other forms of depictions of sex. Over a dozen original and thought-provoking videos examine fantasies and fetishes, showcase connections between performers, and blend alluring sensuality with profound interviews about identity and representation.

Wild Card

Bishop Black and Kali Sudhra star in this playful, improvised film inspired by an intriguing card game. Hidden around the room are playing cards, each revealing a surprising nonsexual body part, like “elbow.” Together the two devise experiments around the cards, creatively exploring sensation with shared warmth and good humor.

Adorn

An experimental erotic game. A man and a woman face each other naked; by the end they are mostly clothed and utterly exhausted. AUF DISTANZ (DISTANCED)

Set and shot in March 2021 during the time of curfews and quarantine, DISTANCED focuses on all these positive and funny moments of interaction that have still been happening. Apart from warm and inviting scenes starring newcomers Otto Untertage and Popo Chanel, feuer.zeug’s fourth film is also influenced by what has already been foreshadowed in earlier works: their love for the Black Forest region where they work – proving that porn happens also outside of the big cities. Be prepared for an unlikely mixture of genres: RomCom, gay porn and what Germans like to call “Heimatfilm”. Have fun watching!

The only other complication is Rolph’s partner – who is none other than Shawn O’Toole!
