Paint with light! Gain the concepts of basic three point lighting. Learn how to use natural light, as well as DIY techniques to keep in your budget (such as homemade bounce cards). With this three hour class, you’ll know where to put your subject to get the best light, basics of color temperatures and gels, and see examples of under and overexposed lighting. Lights, camera, and monitor will be provided.

About the instructor:
Dan R. has worked as a gaffer, key grip, and lighting technician in film and television since 2008. His recent projects include Sorry To Bother You, Blindspotting, and Ant-man and The Wasp (San Francisco Stunt Unit). He was the Lighting Director for Shine Louise Houston’s award-winning film SNAPSHOT, and is excited to bring his years of experience to CRASHCOURSE participants.
This workshop takes place at 4th Wall SF, located at 1458 San Bruno Avenue in San Francisco, California. Directions and more information will be emailed to participants prior to event date.
