On Saturday, October 19th, the “PorYES” Feminist Porn Film Award Europe was presented in Berlin, Germany with pioneers of the sex-positive movement. The award ceremony has honored in past years recipients such as Shine Louise Houston, Candida Royalle, Petra Joy, Annie Sprinkle, Mia Engberg, Emilie Jouvet, Maria Beatty, and a special award for Amanda Palmer & The Young Punx w/ Peaches for Map of Tasmania.

PorYES is presented by Sexclusivitäten, a sex-positive women-owned company that has been providing high-quality sex toys and sexual education programs in Germany for over 20 years. The Jury was comprised of Ula Stöckl, feminist expert and awards patron; Claudia Gehrke, publisher and female sexuality pioneer; Dr. Corinna Rückert, author and Cultural Studies scholar; and, Dr. Laura Méritt, sexual expert, owner of Sexclusivitaeten, and creator of PorYes Feminist Porn Film Award Europe.

Monika Treut
German pornographer whose films focus on female sexuality.

Joesph Kramer
Expert in holistic male sexuality and creator of the Body Electric School and somatic sexuality teacher at the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. Director of Best of Vulva Massage.

Cleo Uebelmann
German Swiss SM artist who created “Mano Destra”

Shu Lea Cheang
Taiwanese American French pioneer. Her cyberpunk film “I.K.U.” (2000) was the first porn to screen at Sundance.

Lola Clavo
London-based Spanish post-pornography and gender theorist.

Ula Stöckl
Grand lady of feminist film and german pioneer, and PorYES Juror was surprised with the honor.

Joseph Kramer was the first male director in the ceremony’s five year history to be honored with an award, writes: “How cool to be the first man to receive a PorYES Feminist Porn Award. I accepted the award in Berlin with heartfelt gratitude for Carol Leigh, Annie Sprinkle, and Beth Stephens: my co-collaborators and loves. Without them, I would not have made a single sex education film.”
